1.42 million undeclared lei for promoting the 'Chance' party, distributing electoral materials, and political activities

Galațchi Andrei, during the period from November 2023 to 07.03.2024, acting together with other persons and within an organized scheme, fulfilled the role of distributing monetary funds to sector presidents and activists under his command for the illegal financing of the Political Party "Șansa".

The monetary funds were used for promoting the party's image, supporting a candidate, providing services for the benefit of the party, distributing electoral materials, participating in meetings, and other political activities.

During the period from December 2023 to 07.03.2024, Galațchi Andrei transferred monetary funds totaling 1,420,000 lei to several persons, which were not accounted for and declared in accordance with the legislation on the financing of political parties.

Other property measures: Judicial expenses amounting to 18,200 MDL. The instruments of the crime: a backpack, a One Plus mobile phone, a Xiaomi mobile phone, and a Lenovo laptop were transferred to the benefit of the state.

Imprisonment with execution. Imprisonment: 48 months
