Illicit funding of millions for non-stop protests: Participants were paid 400 lei per day.

1) The accused Cucoș Vadim, being the president of the OT Dondușeni of the PP “Șor”, contributed through complicity to the acceptance of financing for the PP “Șor” in the amount of 1,525,478.28 MDL, by giving instructions, providing services and information, as well as granting means and tools, including by preparing, verifying, confirming, and transmitting the list of persons who were present and protested, as well as photographs, in front of the Government, Presidency, and General Prosecutor's Office, the money being used for food, transport, and remuneration of the participants in the protests (400 lei/day for each person).

2) The accused Goluță Constantin, being the president of the OT Fălești of the PP “Șor”, contributed through complicity to the acceptance of financing for the PP “Șor” in the amount of 986,068.04 MDL, by giving instructions, providing services and information, as well as granting means and tools, including by preparing, verifying, confirming, and transmitting the list of persons who were present and protested, as well as photographs, in front of the Government, Presidency, and General Prosecutor's Office, the money being used for food, transport, and remuneration of the participants in the protests (400 lei/day for each person).

Imprisonment with execution. Imprisonment: 48 months

The case was tried in the court of first instance in general procedure. The defendants did not admit their guilt. In order to reach a conviction, the court of first instance examined several pieces of evidence (results of examinations, searches, special investigative measures, etc.), including hearing 15 witnesses. The case is relevant for judicial practice as it addresses facts of electoral corruption that occurred in 2022, including revealing methods of using money accepted from the organized criminal group “Șor” (organizing and remunerating individuals to participate in protests, paying members of the PP “Șor”), the amount paid to each person for participating in protests, as well as communication methods for the preparation and prolonged commission of the acts.
