Almost 469 thousand lei, targeted in a case regarding the illegal financing of the "Șor" Party in Călărași.

Vlasenco Olga, as the president of the Territorial Organization of Călărași of the Political Party “Șor”, contributed to the acceptance of illegal financing of the party from the organized criminal group led by Ilan Șor.
Between 24.07.2022 and 20.10.2022, she received and transmitted via Telegram, Viber, and other electronic means the lists of persons mobilized for protests, the lists of means of transport, and photographs regarding the boarding of protesters to the representatives of the Monitoring and Control Department of the party.
She allegedly concluded contracts for the provision of transport services, organized the mobilization and round-trip transportation of persons from the Călărași district to the protests in Chișinău from 24.07.2022 to 16.10.2022, as well as the remuneration of participants, usually at 400 lei/day.

In total, the actions attributed to her involved the acceptance by complicity of the illegal financing of the Political Party “Șor” in the amount of 468,948.32 lei, means integrated into the activity and maintenance of the party.

Other property measures: maintaining the asset seizure applied on ½ of the real estate with an average market price of 169,035.74 lei; - the financial means discovered and seized from Vlasenco Olga's residence in the amount of 18 thousand lei and 945 euros (the official exchange rate at that date being 19.9809 lei for one euro), equivalent to the amount of 18,881.95 lei

The case was tried in the court of first instance in general procedure. The defendant did not admit his guilt. In order to reach a conviction, the court of first instance examined several pieces of evidence (results of examinations, searches, special investigative measures, etc.), including hearing 16 witnesses. The case is relevant for judicial practice as it addresses electoral corruption acts carried out in 2022, including revealing methods of using money accepted from the organized criminal group “Șor” (organizing and remunerating individuals to participate in protests, paying members of PP “Șor”), the amount paid to each person for participating in protests, as well as communication methods for the preparation and prolonged commission of the acts.
